Methodist Day School (MDS) is a Christian oriented preschool for ages 12 months through kindergarten located in the First United Methodist Church facility. The Day School operates Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM from September through May (following the Conroe Independent School District calendar).
The Methodist Day School offers preschool and kindergarten classes for children ages 1 year through 5 years. Classes begin in September and go through May. Registration for Fall of 2010 will begin for church members on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. in the Day School Office. Registration opens to the public on Tuesday, March 2nd , 2010 at 8:00 a.m. in the Day School Office.  PURPOSE: MDS has provided quality experiences for children for over three decades. Our program is designed to provide a Christian atmosphere for the cognitive, physical, social/emotional, and spiritual development of children. MDS serves children of all races, nationalities, and religious creeds, ages 12 months through Kindergarten.
Emphasis is placed on developing each child's self-esteem and the fulfillment of their highest God-given potential. The staff is experienced in working with young children and receives training in the field of early childhood education throughout the school year. They value the needs of each child and strive to provide opportunities for each child to grow emotionally, physically, intellectually, and socially.

| GOALS: In a safe, healthy environment, our school provides many opportunities for large and fine motor development, active and quiet times, and cooperative as well as individual play. Well-equipped classrooms with learning centers are designed to help young children learn through discovery and play. An outdoor playground and gym give children opportunities to develop their motor skills.
Our teachers help each child become a self-reliant, secure child of God by showing children they are loved and accepted as individuals. Through guidance and a caring discipline, our staff fosters a positive self-concept in children.
Programs for parent education and parent participation are planned to address the concerns of parents and to give parents the opportunity to participate with their children in the life of the school.

| We offer extended playtime on MTWTh before school from 8:00 to 9:00 AM and after school from 2:30 to 5:15 PM. The extended program may be used on a regular basis or as needed. |

Please note that one-half of the registration fee is due at the time of registration for the fall in order to hold your child's space.
The remaining half of registration fee will be due by the first day of school.with the exception of Kindergarten. Please note all advance payments of REGISTRATION FEES and TUITIONS are Non-Refundable. A 10% discount for sibling applies only to tuition. This discount does not apply to Kindergarten. Kindergarten registration fee of $200 must be paid in full at the time of registration..
Kindergarten is also required to pay the 1st month's tuition by May 15, 2010. MDS requires advance payment of first and last month's tuition for all classes, due by the first day of school.
