![]() WELCOME!
At First United Methodist Church-Conroe, we are becoming disciples of Jesus Christ by knowing, loving and serving God.
All are welcome! No matter what your age, no matter where you come from, no matter who you are, there is a place for you at FUMC-Conroe. You’ll meet a great mix of friendly people, hear relevant messages, enjoy compelling programs and much more. There is a place for you here.
The church exists to fulfill the ministry that Jesus Christ gave to us. In the words of Brian McLaren,
We are here “to recruit people to switch sides and opt out of the vicious cycle and join a cycle of healing, to infuse them with vision, to send them out as change agents, to help them experience transformation and sustain them so they can be lifelong catalysts of transformation, to give them good news to share to counter the bad news that is being reported every hour on the hour.”
(Reese, Martha Grace. Unbinding the Gospel, Chalice Press, St. Louis, 2008, page 198.)
We are eager to share with you the blessings that we experience in worship, fellowship, study and service in our community and world. One of our new members recently commented, “The first Sunday I attended worship here, I felt like I was in a candy store with so many exciting opportunities in which to participate throughout the week! I knew I was home.”

Join the Inviting Ministry Team as we invite those outside the church into a relationship with Jesus Christ, empower our ministry teams and members to invite others into those relationships, plan and/or support events/programs for our community, offer hospitality at church worship and events, and reach out to our neighbors with the good news of Jesus Christ. Some of the opportunities to serve include:
