How to Join

We are glad for your interest in First United Methodist Church-Conroe.  You may join the church at the end of worship services when the invitation is given to come forward and be received by one of the pastors.  You may also join by attending one of our New Connections Gathering Classes which are held throughout the year and be received into membership in a small group setting. Our pastors are glad to discuss questions of faith or membership, get to know you, and/or receive you into membership.  If you would like to speak to a pastor, you are encouraged to make an appointment.

You may join by:

Profession of Faith and Christian Baptism – for people who have never been baptized. In other words, you will express your commitment of belief in Jesus Christ for the first time and be baptized at the same time.

Profession of Faith – for people who are making a first time commitment to Christ and his Church. This includes those who were baptized as an infant or child but never made a public profession of their faith or confirmation.

Reaffirmation of Faith – for people who have previously professed their faith in Christ but are not currently a member of a church.

Transfer from Another Denomination – for those whose current membership may be in a church that is Presbyterian, Catholic, Episcopalian, Baptist or other denomination. We will contact your previous church to transfer your membership to First United Methodist Church  after you join.

Transfer from Another United Methodist Church – whether it’s in Conroe, another part of the country or even an international church. We contact your previous church and have them transfer your membership to us.
