![]() ![]() Our church has been actively working on Habitat houses for over 11 years. In 2003 we co-sponsored and built a house with Woodlands UMC for Glory Manning. In 2005 we sponsored and built a house (100% FUMC) for Paco and Isis Guerrero. In 2007 we co-sponsored and built a house with First Baptist Conroe for Ilda Rodgriues. In 2009 we funded and built a house with Hewitt Associates for James and Bessie Weir. In 2011-2012 we co-sponsored and built a house with The Woodlands UMC for Ledy Romero.
The pictures from the start of construction through dedication of Ledy’s house can be viewed at http://www.picturetrails.com/methodistsunited
The Habitat mission is to improve the quality of life in our community by building and/or renovating houses so that there are simple, decent, affordable homes in which people can live and grow into all that God intends. There are a lot of non-construction roles available that help Habitat in its mission.
We need your financial contributions to enable us to build houses. Co-sponsoring a house in 2012 cost $27,500. Watch for the mission offerings that occur on the first and third Sundays of each month. Several of these offerings go to Habitat. You may also give via the Alternative Gift catalog or simply designate you offering for Habitat anytime.
If you would like to be involved contact David Smythia at smythia@gmail.com.
